Hi! I’m Jonathan. I’m a meteorologist. I love the weather. I HATE hype.
Here we are. Another hurricane season. It seems as if the last one just ended.
I don’t take the responsibility I have lightly. I know how much the weather impacts your day-to-day…whether it’s our afternoon storms or a tropical threat. I will NEVER post anything for clicks. Anything I post or video I make will have sound science and meteorology to back it. I know how stressful this season can be for some. I aim to be the voice of calm and reason in a space that has become very noisy with clickbait and misinformation.
Thanks for sticking with me. We’ll get through another season together! 🐠 🌀 (rooting fish storms)

First real shot of tropical development come the first week of June. Ensembles have been showing it and there is sound meteorology to back it up with anomalous rising motion (green blob) moving into the Gulf and Caribbean. Way too early for specifics, but strong signal is there. Could range from just a surge of tropical
Moisture to an organized system. This is your PSA to not latch onto single model runs that may be posted over the next week or entire season. It’s way too early for when and where exactly. Hurricane season starts June 1 for the Atlantic basin. - Jonathan
