Today's my birthday ππππ
I remember I took this picture exactly three years ago today β right before creating my Birthday Sadness video. π Looking back at this now, I just smile. I hardly recognize this place in my life and have grown so much since then.
But... I also look at this picture with a lot of pride. I'm so proud of this girl. This girl who was TERRIFIED to take chances... terrified of what people would think... terrified of the unknown... but she tried anyway. She knew there was something deep inside and that her desire to help people was too big to ignore.
Now, years later, I can look back and thank this girl for taking those baby steps even when she thought it wouldn't amount to anything... (Thank you, younger Nae!! π₯Ήπ₯Ή) Today, I am walking in a peace and stability that I haven't felt in a long time β ESPECIALLY not on my birthday. π It's taken a lot of work, a ton of prayer, and constant mental reframing, but I'm so so grateful!
While this journey is lifelong, my goal is to make the 'future me' just as proud of 'the present me' as I am of the girl in this pic. And why? Because I choose to take big, bold steps.
