We are excited to announce the release of Yann's new album, Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour on April 4th 2025 via Mute.
Rathlin from a Distance | The Liquid Hour is an album divided into two distinct, interconnected parts, each with its own unique sonic characteristics: Rathlin from a Distance is eight tracks of introspective instrumental piano, The Liquid Hour is an expansive, genre-defying blend of electronic music and psychedelic rhythms. You can hear two new tracks today - one from each side of the album. ‘Ninnog at Sea’ is an electronic anthem blending Yann’s seafaring reflections into a dynamic track that pulses with rage, hope, and the call to dismantle and rebuild for a radiant collective future. ‘Ninnog at Sea’ comes accompanied by a video directed by long term artistic collaborator @Muratgokmen. ‘Rathlin from a Distance’ is a solo piano meditation on identity. The new sheet music book for ‘Rathlin from a Distance’ is available now.
Yann will perform live at the Barbican in London on 19 April 2025, tickets go on sale this Friday.
