I'm currently editing the video from our visit to the fluorine lab. Unfortunately, I’ve got a lot going on at university at the moment, but I’m doing my best to show you the video soon!
Until then, here’s a little teaser.

Tom + Fluorine Chemistry? Hell yeah! I can only recommend watching @ExplosionsAndFire 's new video from his visit to Germany!

It was a fantastic time with @NileRed , Reggie, @ExplosionsAndFire , @EliasExperiments @mrgreenguy , Kane and Felix in Professor Kraus's fluorine lab (@Fluorineisgreat ). Thanks a lot for the awesome experience guys!

Here I hold the result of over a year of planning and work in my hands. A 1 kg bar of potassium.
Produced from a single reaction. It was one of the longest and most exciting projects I've had so far, and working with @EliasExperiments was a lot of fun!
Editing the video will take some time, but you can look forward to an awesome video!
What do you think the starting materials for this kilogram of potassium cost?
323 - 52
Over many months, @EliasExperiments and I have been working on the large-scale production of potassium metal from inexpensive reagents. After many problems that needed to be solved, we managed to produce approximately 1 kg of potassium in a single distillation yesterday.

I've welded a still for an upcoming project with @EliasExperiments: Large-scale potassium production. I can’t wait to test it!

Targets made of silver are much more expensive than their actual material value. But Queen Elizabeth II came to rescue!

Together with @EliasExperiments, I visited Prof. Dr. Kraus (@Fluorineisgreat) at the Philipps University in Marburg. We discussed the planning of a special experiment involving liquid fluorine. I can't disclose any details, but I can reveal this much: It has never been done before.
225 - 18
As it seems, it was indeed the copper alloy that was to blame for the poor result of the copper coating. I got a new copper target, and now take a look at this beautiful copper mirror!
