It's *SaamaNigama's 1st Birthday* !!! 🎉💐
*Happy 75th Independence Day* 🇮🇳 to one and all. The incidents happenning across the Central and West Asia, make us realize how privileged we are to live in an Independent Democratic Republic. We take pride in our country and it's rich cultural heritage, dating back thousands of years, the values which it bears are what make us the most tolerant of the nations.
And that is what we aim to accomplish at *SaamaNigama*... to carry forward the pristine cultural heritage of our country to current and future generations through our music and other art works.
In the short span of 1 year, while passing through the toughest of times of humanity, we believe we have made decent strides through our works. The YouTube channel has crossed 1k subscribers within a short span of 5 months from the launch. We have began producing original music content through *SaamaNigama Originals*. We have quite exciting projects lined up on the channel in the coming weeks.
Sharing with you, our 1st production, Vandemataram - Full song, the National song of our country in its original form, with all the stranzas. Please do listen and share with one and all. Encourage your kids to learn the same and send us. We would feature good ones on our Facebook and YouTube Pages.

SaamaNigama channel was created on the eve of the Independence Day, 2020, to bring forward qualitative presentations of Indian Music & Culture. We have chosen the name to reflect the roots of Indian Music, which date back to the Vedas - 'Saama' Veda, the Veda of music, melodies and chants and 'Nigama' - also referred to as vedas in some contexts, or the ones that explain the meaning of the Vedic texts.
Our 1st production was a Collaborative presentation of the Full Version of our National Song - 'Vandemaataram'. Today, within 5 months, as we have crossed our 1st 1,000 subscribers, we are given this privilege by YouTube to share a post with you all! We are glad to have you all with us in this beautiful journey.
The response received for the 'Vandemaataram' has been very encouraging and inspiring to our team. The goosebump moments experienced and expressed by the listeners which have been shared with us, instilled the confidence in us that we are on the right path and gave us the sense of fulfilment of the purpose for which we have initiated this endeavour. The Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations brought in the festival celebration amongst us at a time when there were no physical mandapams this year. The Thematic concert on the occasion of Teachers Day gave a short glimpse into the importance of Guru in our lives through the words and music of some of the famous vaggeyakaras. The 'Bhaava Raaga Layaadi Soukhyam' series of Thematic concerts, focussed on the lyrical values in some of the famous compositions of Saint Tyagaraja, Maharaja Sri Swati Tirunal, Patnam Subramanya Iyer, etc along with one of its kind 'Dolotsavam' presentation, have been expressive of our intent to bring forward unique presentations that were hitherto not widely available.
The 'Dhanurmasa Sourabham - Tiruppavai, Rasadhuni & Godastuti' has brought out the flavour of the Margaseersha Maasam. This program, an Amalgam of Music, Bhakti and Sahityam with the special discourse by Smt.Dr.TK Choodamani garu, took us to the core of the Bhakti marga in this auspicious month.
As we come towards the end of the Dhanurmaasa Sourabham program, we take this opportunity to express our deep sense of gratitude to all you who are reading this message, who are part of this beautiful journey of ours in one way or other. We appreciate and place on record, the planning, support and execution of all our team members who mostly work for the channel, post attending their regular duties, tirelessly to ensure that we meet the requisite quality and meet the timelines for the release of the video. We soon aspire to become a full-time dedicated team, to pursue our objectives. We thank each and every artist who have been very enterprising and coming forward with enhancements to our core concepts and owning and nurturing this channel as their own. As we slowly come back to normalcy in the Post-Covid scenario, we look forward to produce content with much variety in terms of the physical locations, artists, recording quality etc.,
We assure to bring forward qualitative presentations from the Indian Classical Music and Cultural sphere. Please do keep in touch through your responses by way of comments, shares and you likes, which are the only way to applaud or criticise available in this platform. We receive both of them with both our hands and ensure to evaluate all feedback.
Thank you !! Jai Hind
Team SaamaNigama
