Let’s dive into the world of UX (User Experience) writing—especially in cars from Hyundai Motor Group.
UX writers are the unsung heroes behind every word in your car’s infotainment system:
From menus, popups, warnings, to OTA updates—every line is designed to be clear, helpful, and safe.
Their goal is to make sure you instantly understand what’s happening—even at 100km/h (62 mph).
Whether you're parking, driving, charging, or changing drive modes—UX writing keeps you in control.
Hyundai Motor Group’s UX team transforms technical jargon into natural, easy-to-understand language. For example:
• “Swivel Seat” becomes “Seat Rotation Function”
• “Walk-in Mode” becomes “3rd Row Passenger Boarding Mode”
• “Side Assist” becomes “Blind-Spot Collision Warning”
They even run real-world in-car tests to refine wording based on user feedback.
No phrase is random—it’s all tested and intentional.
Unlike mobile apps that often sound playful, car UX uses a formal, minimal tone to avoid distractions and ensure safety.
UX writing is also a global challenge:
• In Japan, Kia had to rephrase “Active Sound Design” because drivers misunderstood it.
• In India, many thought “Neutral Mode” meant a calm or peaceful driving setting, so they updated the label for clarity.

Hyundai Motorsport entered the brand-new Rally Islas Canarias ready to push hard, but the winding volcanic tarmac of Gran Canaria had other plans...
• This legendary 49-year-old rally finally joined the WRC calendar after decades in Spain’s domestic and European rally circuits.
• Gran Canaria, the rally host, is smaller than Jeju Island but offers extreme altitude, sudden climate shifts, and endless twisty roads—ideal for rallying!
• Hyundai's first asphalt race with the updated i20 N Rally1 + Hankook slicks proved tricky. Grip issues plagued the team all weekend.
• Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) stormed into the lead early and never gave it up—he won all but one stage over three days!
• Neuville, Fourmaux, and Tänak were left chasing shadows. Hyundai's best result: Fourmaux in 5th, salvaged after Toyota’s Pajari crashed.
• Neuville, frustrated by car setup, said: “I can’t take any line… nothing is working.” Despite that, he managed 7th.

Motorsport legend Jacky Ickx just made a powerful return to the desert that shaped his legacy. At the 2025 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, Genesis honored Ickx's iconic racing career and his 80th birthday with the specially crafted GV80 Desert Edition — a tribute to a man who once conquered the Paris-Dakar Rally in 1983.
This wasn't just a celebration. It was a reunion between a racing icon and the terrain that made him. Ickx took the wheel as an honorary driver, guiding the GV80 across 6,000 km (3,728 miles) of unforgiving desert landscape — revisiting the spirit of endurance, exploration, and elegance that defines Genesis' take on luxury.
The GV80 Desert Edition, inspired by Ickx’s legendary helmet, is more than a looker. With beadlock wheels, long-range LED lighting, custom rally storage, and adjustable suspension, it’s purpose-built for adventure. And yes — the number ‘E80’ on the door? That’s a tribute to Ickx’s 80th.
This remarkable journey included a reunion with his daughter, former racer Vanina Ickx, as the duo crossed the desert together once more — just like in the 2000 Paris-Dakar-Cairo Rally.
This isn’t the end — it’s a new chapter. Jacky Ickx has been appointed Racing Advisor for Genesis Magma Racing, as Genesis steps boldly into endurance racing with the GMR-001 hypercar, eyeing Le Mans and Daytona.
