Astro just launched Version 4.0! Astro has been one of my favorite frameworks for a while, and it just seems to get better and better! With the latest version, they launched.

- The Astro Dev Toolbar
- Internationalization (i18n) routing
- Incremental Content Caching (Experimental)
- New View Transition APIs
- Redesigned logging
- Redesigned documentation

I'm really excited about the future of Astro. What do you all think?

- Next.js Learn - a new learning platform for Next.js

Thoughts? Are you excited about Next.js 14?

TypeScript is FRUSTRATING sometimes. Recently, I was working with TypeScript in a Next.js/React application, and I struggled to find the appropriate types for an event handler. Unfortunately, I've had similar issues a lot in the past.

Maybe it's just me, but I think frameworks could do a better job of adding documentation in TypeScript. I feel like many people use TypeScript as their default, and the documentation should follow suit. So, a couple of questions for you.

1. Are you using TypeScript on a regular basis? With which frameworks?

2. Do you ever struggle with incorporating TypeScript into those frameworks? Do you feel like the documentation truly embraces TypeScript?

For the next 3-6 months, I'm going to be partnering with Xata and Sentry on a build in public project using Next.js. My plan is to build tools around improving experiences at conferences for individuals and conferences.

The first set of tools I want to build is around working with videos. What types of questions or topics would you like to see me cover around: video uploads, optimizing videos, exporting videos, etc?

2. Raycast - spotlight replacement with plugin ecosystem
3. Magnet - shortcuts for positioning and organizing windows
4. Flycut - multiple clipboard history
5. Cleanshot - taking screenshots and short videos
6. Fig.io - intellisense in your terminal (and lots more!)

Tomorrow, my wife and I are having our first child! 🥳 We have been spending all of our free tier trying to get the house ready. Still lots to do lol

Anyways, I've got a couple of videos already recorded to get posted automatically, but I'll be light on creating and engaging for the next several weeks. In the meantime, I've got an amazing backlog of video ideas, so I can't wait to get back to it when we are ready. If you've got any other requests or ideas, feel free to add them below 👇

I've decided on the topic for my next course...Astro!! I've rebuilt my personal site with Astro, and I'm excited to teach the community about how amazing it is. As I start planning the actual content, do you have any suggestions on topics you'd like to see covered in the course? So far I've got:

- md and mdx
- layouts and SEO
- dynamic routes
- working with a headless cms

What other suggestions do you have?
