I am a paramedic and have found inspiration, guidance and grace in the most unexpected places while working with patients, family, other health care professionals… My own experiences have helped bring comfort and healing to others while I have been healed and comforted - many times without the other knowing they are bringing that energy to me. I remember at an extremely challenging time in my life how good it felt to be kind to somebody else, knowing that no matter what I’m going through my heart is still caring and compassionate, and capable of reaching out to others, and even holding space for them. I am living and growing and learning and going through some crazy times on this earth. It’s still easier to be compassionate with others sometimes than it is to be compassionate with myself.
