Don’t beat yourself up too hard.
Being there for a sibling (a close family member, really) is important. I cheered Kindergarten through Senior year of high school. Competitions were a part of the season. Having people (even A person) there to cheer for You, is really nice.

I love you showing this side of work life balance. I don’t know why I didn’t understand the concept of personal days for my teachers when I was little but it makes me happy now understanding why they would say they wouldn’t be there the next day. I always just thought it was because they could feel themselves getting sick. 😂
