What intrigues me the most is the extremely recent advancements in Machine Learning and Simulation based drug discovery. While a full on Cleche "Cure for Cancer" may be implausible, I'll be happy if we can make cancer similar to Aids where even in the worst of cases you can still live a full life with treatment.

I really hope this ends up saving billions of people’s lives. My best friend passed away from cancer when she was only nine (she was half a year younger than me) and since then I’ve been praying that a more effective cure for cancer will come along.
