The paint is beautiful! It's one of my favorite colors. My boyfriend's Mom passed away and within couple of years he was putting the house up for sale not wanting to. It was full of antiques he didn't want to let go but, he had to let a few pieces go. There was a small 3 drawer dresser, without knobs that was already a funky green. I do not know what kind of wood. I was needing a drawer system for crafts. Sight unseen he and his brother brought it to me one Saturday morning by 11 am. I loved it and it excited me so much. I had them out it on the back porch where I have outlets. The drawers also did not pull out very easily.

I got to work within minutes after they left sanding the sides of the drawers, roughing up the outer old vintage antique green paint. It did not need any filler. I ran to my local family owned hardware store and bought 8 brushed nickel knobs. I bought a green paint comprobable to what was on it already . Cannot remember the name. It was a nice Fall day with a breeze. By 4 pm I had it completed, took a photograph of the before and after, sent it to my boyfriend and he forwarded the photo to his brother with a title of Becky Does Not Mess Around. Both were floored!

I am sorry I did not take the top down to the bare wood and stained it Golden Oak by Min Wax. This dresser of your's is outstanding! When I was 10 I was helping my Dad renovate our vintage style kitchen . It was the first house my parents owned just moving to VA from Calif. I cannot imagine owning such a huge house now 5 bedrooms and only paying $70,000 in 1973. I am trying to buy a 2 bedroom house right now and most with postage size stamp yards in the same town are $800,000. But, Dad refinished all the cabinet pulls that were original to the 1930s and he used paint thinner and a bronze rub that is probably like the Rub and Buff of today. It was a paste like substance that was in a can.

I never saw this channel until today at 5:30am 7/27. It is now 6:19. Today is my Mom's birthday. She passed away yesterday 3 years ago from cancer. I am presently trying to organize my very tiny flat that is registered with the historical society and nails and molly bolts are not allowed. I am overwhelmed in such a tiny home. It's a railroad cottage and it's my stepping stone until I find a home to buy I can afford. My goal is to get a lot done today. I look forward to following you.
