My Pink Princes was almost identical to yours in this video! She was going on 6 months or so in my home, & was listed as "fully rooted" when I ordered her. She wasn't growing, & generally not looking good. After one of your full videos, I took her out of her pot, the soil was just damp from a watering several days before, but fell away on it's own, & I found she only had ONE root about 1.5 in long! So I repotted her in looser soil, with rooting hormone so she might put out more than the one, & she lived another couple of months. I thought she was going to be fine because she'd put on a new leaf! But she died anyway! It seems I can't keep the plants with colors alive! OBTW!! My M. deliciosa FINALLY has cuts in a leaf! She's ONLY 3 years old!! π
Thanks for your videos! I feel I've learned a lot from you already! Maybe this time next year, I'll be telling you that I've finally had success with more than one plant!

You're my fave,,, and just today, the Raven ZZ plant that I stick my finger deep in it's soil to test moisture, ,, which I don't water until it's dry,, except, the bottom 3 inches where it's sopping wet cuz the roots plugged every hole without growing through the holes so i didn't see a problem... ... ... anyway,Anyway,, I need those clear pots...

yes and no, one part of the roots wont stay completely dry as when the plant uptakes water it disperses it to every cell, not just bringing it straight up to the energy making canopy. so while this definitely helps you fully saturate soil, it is not benefiting the plant in the way you think, the roots will remain moisturized even if the soil around it is actively removing moisture (fert burn)
