I got one of these, it was first emulation handheld, and I also used it as my main MP3 player. Ended up breaking the R button due to skipping songs all the time though. I fixed it years later and still have it. Very fond memories of it.

The GP2X and Dingoo A320 were the pioneers of the tons of handheld emulators we have today.

I remember seeing the GP2X Wiz, from Tweeterman287 back in 2009, unfortunately, I was a kid that day, and I didn't knew it was meant to be an emulation device...

I remember BEGGING my dad for this thing way back when. the open pandora was another one i drooled over. there was a smattering of weird obscure linux handhelds that i wanted rly bad as a kid but my father never got - most likely rightfully so. seeing these is a blast from the past. weird being nostalgic for something you never had

Ah yes, I remember it well. It was pretty much unobtanium for me at the time. Remember Divineo?

Oh, Game Park, I wonder if they are still making consoles. I remember GP32 also got a very very very small official commercial life in some european countries but I always saw imported ones, from the legendary LikSang!

You definitely got me. I've never heard of this. Hopefully you'll do a longer video about it.

This may have been one of the first emulation handhelds but I think the first one made by reputable company was the Nvidia shield.

I'm glad nowadays we have Steam throwing their hat in the ring and Decking the competition.

I had all the Gamepark devices right back to the GP32 which I played a lot of Beats of Rage on! Their hardware was a big catalyst for me getting into the homebrew / indie scene.

I did hear of the console, but could never get my hand on it before it was discontinued, and neither did I after.

It's one of the early role models of the niche market of open Linux-based handhelds, anticipating the cheaper and popular Anbernic handhelds and the monolithic presense of the Pandora. I've ALWAYS wanted one of these.
