Everyone who’s given your kitties a good life, bless you. Thank you for giving this cat the gentle kindness and safety of your care to the end. You’re an Angel- it’s so hard to let them go. Wishing everyone here comfort , courage, strength and peace. ❤️☯️🐱

Oh boy. I know. I've been through this with my own kitties, one minute they seem fine, then "leave me alone". Ugh, the great thing about animals is that they know when they are ready....and then, you will know too.😢

We have a male that we rescued that looks so much like Lucy. Yes cats are very bad at showing if they are sick. Sending positive vibes to you and Lucy. 🤗

Sending so much love to you and Lucy. We’ve had 3 cats cross the rainbow bridge and I had more growing up, and it IS hard. Just want them to be comfortable and at peace. We don’t want to be without them either. Know that we’re there with you through this. ❤

I had 16 kittens and three letters and a mom and I raise them all the majority of the kittens pass by between 18 and 22 I'm just old age and natural health and then I had two cats left what was 24 and a half who passed after two really bad strokes and then I had my last one who I had to have to put to sleep after 26 and a half years old because of a really bad stroke and the vet said that she was about 142 years old play she was active right up until the end she was blind the last 2 years of her life she had diabetes but she get up on the bed she get up on the couch I never moved anything in the house when she went blind so she knew where everything was she knew not to go outside in the hallway or out the front door she knew to stay out of the kitchen she pretty much had the other side of the house to herself and she still played with the other cats and she played with her toys she could sense where they were and would chase them good morning love and Precious Moments we share with our cats the longer I believe they live I think that people who have cats that live in the city that are outside all the time they're exposed to smog and people smoking cigarettes and people spitting on the ground and all kinds of grossness and I think that that's why a lot of outdoor cats end up living only seven to nine years but I think cats who live in your house as long as you don't use bleach on your floors or your walls they stay pretty healthy and live a really long time I had a friend who had a cat I was shocked your cat was 36 years old the oldest cat living was many years ago and it was 42 years old I think in China but I'm not positive about the age but I know they were very old my friends her cat she kept outside in a fenced in yard so there was no traffic there was no other animals she loved playing with the birds she didn't chase after them they spend a lot of time in the backyard with the cat and the kids playing and it was just nice the cat was nice and healthy and just lived a really nice life and it looks like you've given your cat a really nice life and going by people's posts your cat must be over 10 or 15 years old I'm only saying that because of the post that I have read it sounds like from what people are saying that you've given your cat a good life and your cat is older but you can't looks young and very healthy very good way nice shiny coat I wish to see more posts if you put post out about your cat and I think your cat's name is Lucy I think somebody said that name I'm not positive but I hope to see more posts of your cat your cat is beautiful❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

Both of our cats lived to 19 years, they were a few years apart. So I remember how hard those last few years were. I’m sorry you’re having to go through it! 😢 Both of mine were tabbys just like yours. The last one, Petra, spent the last year yowling (she had some lungs on her, it was LOUD) and when I took her to the vet they just pointed to old age. I had a 3 y/o son at the time, so I’m afraid I didn’t have as much patience for her as I should have. It took me months to realize that she was going blind! No cataracts. Must have been a degenerative retina. She would only yowl when she was in the kitchen after eating, and couldn’t find her way back to her bed in the great room. (She could find her way INTO the kitchen just fine - using the smell and sound of the food hitting the stainless bowl I think) Also she would yowl in the great room, then I’d go in to find she had peed or pooped on the floor. So I moved a litterbox to a few feet away, and she rarely went outside it. She would also yowl when she wanted off the couch. I think she was scared to jump down. I just wanted to share with you in case yours is having the same issue. Mine wasn’t in pain. The yowling was a request for help!

Also, we had a vet come to our house to put her to sleep. It didn’t really cost much more than dragging her into the scariest place on earth (the vet). She went so peacefully. It was so much better than the vet office.

Sending you both Comforting Energy to help get through this.

Karen, don’t you wish our kitties could tell us how they’re feeling. I’m going through this same thing. We have two seniors, one with heart failure and one with kidney failure. The heart kitty needs her meds round the clock. We have another rescue cat that has to live in a separate part of the house because she’s a total prima donna and would probably give the heart kitty a heart attack. Then last week I found a stray kitty in the middle of the road and have her in a puppy pen getting her healthy and finding her a good home. She is such a sweetheart, I wish I could keep her, but there’s literally no room.
Love to Lucy❤

Aww. Sweet girl Lucy. Each moment is special. Give her a head pat from her fans (if she likes that sort of thing). Much love to you and your kitty.

I've had several older cats who have been a challenge. I've also had cats who haven't had issues until the last few days. And, yes, sometimes it's very hard to know when they are in pain.

My Tinker is 18. She’s in fairly good health. But she barfs a lot and wets the bed sometimes. The bed I’m sleeping in. That might be TMI, but that’s reality. I hope it all goes well. decisions about our pet friends are hard.

Hi Dear precious Lucy. Sending you and your Mom and Dad energies of comfort, safety, peace, ease, grace. . .as long as your comfortable. I believe that your Mom will be able to understand if you tell her you're in too much pain. Kitty Mom's can usually look into their Baby's face and eyes and tell.

You are such a sweet loving cat you're just not in the mood for playing napping is your thing huh my cat is only three and napping is his thing but when I get out the laser lights on the linoleum floor in the kitchen it's rock and roll for 20 minutes after that he lays down and he's had enough exercise for the day you are very sweet I wonder how old you are you don't look very old but one time I thought a cat was nine and he was 16 years old you look healthy and happy I don't think you're that old I can't wait to see you in different posts maybe you're just not in a hyper mood today my cat gets that way sometimes where he likes to spend the whole day cuddle up on the couch with his little kitty blankie and he'll watch me watch TV or he'll watch me check them at my messages on the cell phone and he only gets up for the cat box and something nice back on the couch will you have a really nice night sweetie❤❤❤😊😊

She certainly is not feeling well. I know you feel that. When she goes and hides and you may not be able to find her, in my experience, she is ready to leave. Curious if that resonates?

How old is she and what does the vet say? My one cat was not in pain and he died when he was ready. My other got a brain tumor and has to be euthanized. If she is not in pain, she doesn't want to do much but rest, she will let you know when she is ready to go. Ask her to let you know. Talk to her, she understands what you are saying.
