Hunting non-endangered animals for food should not make meat eaters uncomfortable.

You are 100% correct it is the most ethical manner of eating meat… And those who doubt it go to an abattoir
Go to a chicken farm
Go to a pig farm
Commercial, I’m talking about… Not small… These animals are treated horribly for their entire lives this way… When you take meat and game in the field, this animal has gotten to live a free life the Big Bang

Thank you! I just finished leaving a scathing comment on a YouTube groomers page on her post entitled, "Why people HATE labradors".
She stated Labs are high strung when they are not. Many have more drive than the home expected, because the breeder didn't temperament match the puppy for "couch potato home". Labs do have activities they love and many suffer silently waiting for their owner to get up and do something with them. For our last girl, it was long walks several times a day, so she could use her nose and find things in the woods and swim in the creek. We have a collection of found items and it's amazing. She loved stealing gloves or ripping off my Crok and doing zoomies and being chased, or having the grandkids throw a ball that she could bring back and "give" so it could be thrown again and again.
She had a good life but we sometimes wonder if we gave her as much as she would have liked. They are like children and they disappear into adulthood and senior dogs who like very short walks and long naps on the sofa in the sunshine. Then they are gone to the big green field in the sky.

I'm entirely on board with this! I always consider the breed's purpose before considering owning one. It's really important! :)

My cousin used to train ducking hunting dogs. He had four labs of his own. The oldest now in his teens would go and go and go to the point where you’d have to stop him because he just loved doing it that much.

Ive been a vegetarian for about 15 years and people always find it weird why I support hunting😅. But this kind of ethical hunting is amazing

Absolutely yes! Theres no rodents for my mini schnauzer to hunt but he’s happy to chase birds and squirrels as well as sit by the window bay and guard the house.

The way you can see Sully is absolutely chomping at the bit, but staying in the exact same spot is grade A training.

my parents' last lab's dad was a working dog, and even tho she was a family pet (her litter was an accident lol) she still had a lot of those working dog breed instincts, with a strong retrieval drive, a good prey drive, and she was strong as an ox!
my parents' current lab is a pure breed from non-working stock, and im not sure she knows what her breed was even for, cus she has none of those instincts 😂 she much prefers chase games to fetch, and she never goes for birds or squirrels like their last dog. honestly the difference between the two of them in that regard is like night and day

both utter sweethearts tho

Always wondered how we know if the dogs actually enjoy that stuff. Like they could just being doing it for food or treats saying thats how you train em to do it anyway

And this is why you’re one of my favorite dog trainers…so many people don’t understand this and it’s so important!!! My dog shines when he gets to do something that resembles what he was bred for (he’s a Yorkie). Thank you for reminding us of this!
