The biggest thing am concerned about 2XK0 about my optimism is single player content, training mode, and actual social systems that incentivizes community i dont know how they'd rationalize the cost of those systems with monetization i know riot is downscaling their teams over the past few years so id assume the scope of a lot of projects have been reduced but am hopeful those three elements could be improved on over the years if it doesnt make it into the game on release !

To be honest this game looks like flop to me.
The marketing for this game is awful, the fact that they did a multiple betas before they had a name is baffling, everybody still calls it Project L.
They are riding fighting events with a tag game that has 4 character for 2-3 years without any release date.
YouTube channel barely posts. I don't even know what they are doing, the game looks ready for a long time, it just lacks characters and cosmetics.
Also they want to make free to play game with purchasable cosmetics and I am yet to see any good cosmetics for this game, so I don't even how are they gonna make money. Graphics and presentation is significantly worse than other fighting games, GG: Strive simply looks better in every way and it is 4 years old already.
It is supposed to be a big thing for the genre, but development, marketing and presentation feels like a B tier low budget game.
I was interested 2 years ago and followed the development, now I am just bored and tired of them.

My biggest concern about this game is not about gameplay mechanics or content, but how Riot handle its competitive scenes.
I hope to be awfully wrong but I wouldn't like to see the FGC tournament scene struggling with this game just because Riot decided to give the spotlight to a group of people or events that look more profitable or engaging to them.

2XKO is something I’ll be avoiding, as I will all other Riot Games. There is literally no reason why any anti-cheat should rely on kernel level access to your system, and the drawbacks are immense: From the exclusion of Linux gamers, to the potential for catastrophic malfunctions or even outright malicious behavior from the developers.

Complete non-answer. Yawn.
Seriously though. You guys out there that think this is going to be your ticket to make six figures by playing fighting games need to come back down to earth and understand that they've explicitly said that this won't be getting the full esports treatment off the rip and that they want to keep things more local to start out. Much like them, you need to be cautiously optimistic instead of the fantasy world you've been living in.
