After watching s3 of dragons rising, arin isn't really evil he just got tired of other situations being prioritised over finding his parents. So when ras gave him hope and a chance he took it. But now we have to wait for s3 part 2 cause we found out his parents ARE alive thanks to jay. But at least sora is with him now

Arin wasnât evil at all, even with Raas he still acted good, he even tried helping teaching Raas how to be good too. And he had a justified reason for leaving the Ninja anyways. He felt abandoned and betrayed, the ninja were drifting away from him.
