So I'm American, and I somehow got into a group of Mexicans (literally living in Mexico) playing League of Legends. They could all speak English, so we could play and communicate fine. But sometimes they would speak Spanish, and I would just chime in with "Queso." Almost always got a laugh.
I say almost because, one day we were playing and they were talking about some actual serious stuff in Spanish, and I did my normal "Queso." and one of them had to say in English "this is actually a serious conversation." I felt so bad. They all understood and weren't mad. And I did apologize immediately.
