Hey Chris! Hope you been well man. Great outlook in being prepared by knowing the music but also being sensitive to The Spirit and ready to pivot and flow accordingly!
If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of crashes and rides are you using these days? I’ve been using a 22 k light ride, I also have a 24 but in some cases I think it’s a bit above the mix for our application but I’ve yet to find a good fast crash and maybe one other that’s a bit more washy and sustained on the other side lol so any input is appreciated

Pay Attention‼️
It’s always important to know the structure of a song, but just as crucial is learning how to flow within each section. In worship music, how we build can make all the difference.
Here are a few key points to keep in mind:
🥁Know the Structure: Be familiar with the roadmap—verses, choruses, bridges ect. so you’re never caught off guard.
🥁Flow with Intent: Don’t just play what’s written, listen and respond to the moment.
🥁Master the Build: Building adds tension and release. It’s what creates those powerful moments in worship.
🥁Be Consistent: The best builds are gradual and intentional. Use small hits or accents to help guide the listener.
🥁Stay Spirit-Led: All of this is the practical side of drumming but ultimately, we aim to be vessels for the Spirit to move through us.
Let me know your thoughts and as always,
Choose Kindn
