Interesting! I used to take a daily probiotic to supplement, but stopped when I tried a low histamine diet, and I was later diagnosed with GI MCAS (via endoscopy). I'm now on oral cromolyn. I will have to do some more research and consider adding that back in, as I felt the common consensus when I first looked around was that they can be problematic and should be avoided. Thanks!

Thank you so much Dr Ruscio, I appreciate this information; very helpful. So interesting you mention 15 years ago, and sadly, here where I live in Canada, not many General Practitioners and even my young Naturopath, knew much about Histamine Intolerance. My family GP gave me a few handouts, told me I had angular cheilitis, told me to read the articles. As I dug deeper, into the DAO enzymes, associated as a reason for angular cheilitis, and did some food sensitivity testing, I realized, I most likely have Histamine Intolerance. I started a low histamine diet; with success. I'm grateful to the Functional Medicine doctors I have found, including YOU; here on YouTube. Also, a nutritionist who has some amazing information; all of you have helped me a lot. The Naturopath, wanted me to order some low Histamine Probiotics from the USA, I have not done that yet; will consider which to purchase. Cheers!
