It's actually insane how fast that all happens. Booster is COOKING in and basically just hovers and parks. Wild.

This has to be one of the greatest technological feats of our generation. Hats off to Space X

The strange thing about this is that catching rockets out of the air was not some standard sci-fi trope. It came out of nowhere.

I watched this clip a good 5, maybe 16 times. Just an incredible feat of engineering going on here. I was speechless watching it live.. outside of a few uncontrollable giggles as Mechazilla was catching the booster. Amazing..

Hypersonic to soft catch in 10 seconds. Beyond insane.

It goes from a screaming careening bomb to gently swinging in the breeze in 30s

Those visible pressure waves the thrust is generating downwards is just the icing on the cake

Hopefully this will stay on YouTube for decades, because this is as good as watching the first time the space shuttle landed.
Such a great angle and really great quality, you should be very proud.

Even in 4K knowing it happened it still looks like CGI

This might just be my favorite Super Heavy catch video. You can feel the power of those engines

Has anyone noticed that there isn't any uncontrollable fire this time around. They have really made advancements in this area

I would love to see that in person! If only I lived closer…

This is awesome!
It looks like something from one of Gerry Anderson's 1960s 'Thunderbirds' shows that I watched as a kid.
I'm amazed that I lived to see this kind of stuff in real life.

Imagine the largest rocket booster in history, the size of a WWII navy destroyer, coming down towards Earth at the speed of sound less than 1 mile up and getting caught in the air by the tower’s chopsticks with a feather gentle touch! Pure Sci-fi Savagery!

That flame ball as the engines kicked in was insanely cool! Thank you team for all the hard work to bring us great and historic shots like this!
