These mnemonic techniques like memory palaces are a little more than party trick maybe. Remembering playing cards and and thousand digits of pi have no real life application. I want to learn how i can retain knowledge that i have read and listened to better. I want to learn how to speak more fluently. How to increase attention. This is what most people want and for that, these memory techniques are useless.
The truth is, there is no real shortcut. You really need to put in the work every day. Just like working out, to get real results, you really need to put in a lot of effort.

Even though I was forced to go to school, I regret ever stepping foot in its halls. I didn't believe my older brother at first, but I believed him after I left school. I have discovered that I have learned more efficiently and effectively in my room than I have ever done in school. School is nothing more than a daycare to give your parents a break and to take care of you. All it ever taught you was how to maintain a routine.
