Here across the pond, we would begin with the utmost essential: the WC. From there - or perhaps whilst said WC construction in under way - the kitchen. One must “eliminate,” and friends (ahem, free help) will appreciate onsite toilets. Next to that, a spot to cook sustenance is essential. Good luck! I’m excited to watch.👀

Sitting room all the way! Once you have a sitting room, you have a place to hang out in the house even when all other rooms aren’t complete. It’s like a mini sanctuary that you can always come back to! Love love love watching these, btw ❤

As a serial remodeler who has lived in the various messes for the last 25+ years, definitely set up a sanctuary for yourselves. Even more important is a place to contain the dogs and cats! Not everyone will love them. Those who do will overfeed them….there are all the hazards of vehicles and getting into things that cause messes and things that will poison them, etc. Cats especially love to explore the new nooks and crannies, and can end up walled in!

If you do go with Kitchen first, the old fridge could be a really cool butlers pantry, or perhaps a little coffee nook, I think keeping the original door could also be really awesome as well! and having a cabinet somewhere in the kitchen to show off the old treasures you've found in the house could be awesome!

I would like to see more of a voyage classical style, don’t go for modern go for cozy and homey. For some of the floors like kitchen and entry I like the idea of checker floors.
