Respectfully to Sai, I think he is not so much correct with this analogy of Secular Jews with that of Cultural-Nationalist Hindus. I would compare Secular Jews to that of Liberal Hindus who just observe some festivals, rituals etc largely for fun or social bonding. But, agreed with Sai that cultural-nationalist Hindus without some amount of discipline for Sadhana/Spiritual Practice based on Vedanta/Bhakti traditions to realize the inner light/God can become an empty shell.
