Step 1 To do your Cornrow French Braids with Weave, you want to make sure that the hair you buy can be used to do french braids. These are not individual braids like box braids or zillions so you should not buy the bulk braiding hair. A Cornrow French Braid with Weave is a cornrow braid to the scalp infused with hair braiding extensions. You can use whatever hair you want, sometimes I like to use silky straight hair and other times, I want it to look really full and kinky so it's your preference. Use your regular braiding synthetic hair to achieve the results I achieve. Follow along with the products that I have listed above to achieve the appropriate results of your Cornrow French Braids with Weave Hairstyle. Step 2 When braiding on natural hair, you always want to be extremely gentle with your hair. If you are not careful with your hair, that will reflect in the health of your hair. Too much rough handling on your tresses will result in split damaged ends and hair loss which in the long run stunt the growth of your hair. Wearing a protective style like this Cornrow French Braids with Weave is great in retaining length but if you always comb aggressively or handle your hair in a rough manner, many of your hair saving methods will go to waste. Also, remember when that you do cornrows/french braids you can make your braid or your twists as long in length as you want. The ultimate look of a style is to your discretion. Step 3 When braiding your Cornrow French Braids with Weave make sure to take your time! I know it's fun and even if you know what you are doing, you want to be careful with the way that you handle the hair on your head. Be careful that when you braid your hair that it isnt to tight. Your extensions should feel snug with only a slight pull, if you feel uncomfortable, have headaches or pain, that is your scalp letting you know that the tension is unbearable. Braiding the hair too tight does help the style last for a little bit longer but it also encourages hair loss which no one wants! You can reduce this greatly by braiding at a tightness that is comfortable for you. So many times, I used to braid my hair too tight just to make it "last longer" and I would be hurting myself in the end. Take your time and stick to what you know works for you and keep working and practicing as your do your Cornrows French Braids Hairstyle! Step 4 As you are finish braiding your hair for your Cornrow French Braids with Weave, next you will be curling the ends of your hair. Usually the hair that you use to achieve this twist style is synthetic so it is not best advice to use your curlers or a curling wand to curl the ends of your cornrow/french braid extensions. Adding heat from a curling iron can potientially melt the extensions or the curl from the curling iron may not give you your best curl result for this style. It is best to use very thin to medium plastic curling rods to achieve those ringlet curls at the very ends of your braids. You must roll the ends of your cornrows in the cold water rods and dip the ends in hot water. Be careful and avoid dripping hot water on yourself and avoid burning your scalp with hot steam. Once you thoroughly dry off the braid extensions, you can unravel the rods and let your curl hang loose. After you curl all of your braids run your fingers through to seperate the ends of the cornrowns and to trim away any flimsy ends. Step 5 This is the finished look to your Cornrows French Braids Hairstyle after braiding and curling the ends of the extensions. This hairstyle is perfect for natural hair simply because it is protective of your hair and the ends of your hair isn't exposed. This Cornrow French Braid Style with Weave is also great for those who are post relaxer or even transitioning with their natural hair. Even if you are relaxed, you can do this and achieve great results as well. Step 6 There are so many different types of ways to style Cornrows/French Braids with Weave because braids offer so much versatility in the first place. With your Cornrow Frenchbraid hairstyle, depending on your length, you can put all of your braids into a ponytail or let them hang free. You can also use bobby pins to secure certain twists into place or use headbands and scarves to accessorize your protective style with extensions. In this tutorial I will be using styling tools like headbands, scarves, hair pins, and other hair accessories to style your Cornrow Frenchbraid Style with Weave on natural hair.
