I know I’ve a bit MIA but life has found a way to get hectic yet again. Between getting sick, work and holiday family time I haven’t been able to make much content. Not a bad problem to have but one I hope to remedy soon for you guys.
That said, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season full of warmth and joy and hopefully a fishing session or two! Last but certainly not least, I just wanted to say thank you to you all for being a part of this community and for supporting this crazy experiment I call a YouTube channel.

Wow… We recently passed the 5k subscriber mark and I cannot thank you all enough. From the start of the channel, I never imagined that so many of you would want to join in and be a part of this journey. Looks like Histar has yet ANOTHER Aurora Air variant 😅. This one is called the Aurora AirCF and was just released a few days ago. So… I picked one up to see how this iteration is compared to the Aurora Air and the Giu99. Will report back with findings in a few weeks!

EDIT: I have changed the responses to the reels to “satisfied” and “dissatisfied”. If you submitted a response it would be greatly appreciated if you resubmitted your responses. These changes are to make things clearer as the responses are meant for people who own, have owned or have used these reels.

Sorry no video again this weekend. Have a few new reels incoming and have been testing some new rods though! Outside of that, I have something to share… I’ve noticed that knots seem to be a fairly contentious topic so here’s a channel and video that I really thought had awesome information. Cheers all!
If you want to see the percentage of strength of the knot vs the maximum testing breaking strength of the line navigate to about 11:29 for the final results. Do I trust this YouTube source as trustable? Yes, they consistently perform scientific and repeatable tests on various fishing lines. None of what they share(you see the proof in the video) is hearsay or based on assumption alone.
TLDR:
-FG knot was about 90% of max breaking strain.
-PR knot(new one to me) 80% “”.
-Alberto knot about 65% “”.
-Double uni knot about 48%(?) “”.
