Lord of the Rings is one of the options, and I'm remembering my first watercolor studies of Fellowship of the Ring... so that would be a very nostalgic option! But there are others, and it's currently neck and neck. π

It's Print Update Day over on Patreon! This month, I made an oil pastel art print (and sticker!) for the Cat Dragon Tier (which also exists here on Youtube as a membership option) and not one but two larger art prints for the Blue Dragon Tier: A mermaid for MerMay, and a Dracula inspired character portrait.
Really excited to have this much new art (and more still to come~) to share with you. π

I'm having a little sale to celebrate that it worked out. They had switched to a new payment system which was a PAIN to connect here in South Korea. The banks here really don't like that I have a middle name, it puts me over the systems' character limit. I spent over an hour at the bank today as we tried to get that figured out...π
The oil pastel landscapes I showed in my latest videos can also be found there as prints... I'll have to restock soon! And there's a small original acrylic painting to celebrate Mermay. π

How was your weekend? :) You may have noticed that there's no new video - with multiple holidays stacked on top of each other here in Korea, I was busy with art markets and events. But the next "sketch with me" video is nearly done and focuses on master studies and oil pastels. I hope you'll like it! π

Aaaaah?? Where did you all come from? β€οΈ Thank you so much for following along as I try to improve as an artist!
When I started this channel, I was in a bit of a slump: I felt directionless, my art style too vague, and slowly making these sketchbook videos and painting processes helped me document and reflect on what I'm doing. It's made such a difference! As did all your thoughtful, kind, and encouraging comments.
I really want to thank you all, and hope we can continue to learn and practice together. π
It might be time for a poll, but I just wanted to ask here first: What kind of videos do you enjoy most?
Art vlogs showing snippets of my process? Good ol' sketchbook videos in which I dabble with pencils or mixed media? Or more in-depth painting processes?
I love making all of them, and hopping from one project to the next, but I'm really curious to hear what resonates most (beyond what YouTube algorithms say, because that's not the same thing!)

Not one, but two little announcements! π 1: I made a tiny art zine for my Botanical Cats (or BotaniCats if you like puns), with a cute green thread binding. A new illustration! Acrylics on paper... and finally, a warmer, more vibrant color palette. πβ€οΈ The Silmarillion art obsession continues, and I'm using that energy to practice new things and (hopefully) improve both my painting skills and my portfolio. :)

I'm Evelyne, freelance illustrator for fantasy games and books, and I'm posting my own art practice journey as I try to get better at anything and everything, from portraits to landscapes, charcoal to oil pastels.
Painting mostly in acrylics and watercolors, with the occasional digital sketch and lots of oil pastels.
I'm a Swiss artist living in South Korea, and while mostly painting for clients, I can't wait to go outdoor sketching around Jeju Island, to visit some traditional temples or cute cafes to fill my sketchbook.
