I’m thinking of launching a membership outside YouTube — focused entirely on written content about Japanese swords and samurai history.

I have so much I want to share, but editing videos takes a lot of time. With text and images, I can provide much more in-depth content on a regular basis.

The membership would include weekly articles, translated Japanese news, and additional historical insights.

From time to time, I may also share exclusive videos—such as visits to historical sites—not available on YouTube.

I plan to launch it later this month.
If enough people are interested, I’d love to begin. Your feedback will help me decide.

Would this interest you? Please vote and feel free to leave a comment below.

If there were a membership where you could enjoy explanations about Japanese swords from a master Japanese swordsmith, hear stories that can’t be shared with the general public, watch detailed demonstrations of swordsmithing techniques, and even interact with the swordsmith, what would you think?

I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thank you.

Hello!

Recently, I finally had the opportunity to visit a Japanese swordsmith to film some videos. During my visit, I recorded several videos, including an interview, which will be released one by one in the coming days. If you’re truly passionate about Japanese swords, these are a must-watch!

The swordsmith, based in Okayama Prefecture, possesses an incredible wealth of knowledge about Japanese swords. I was able to hear many invaluable insights from him. I’ve never met another craftsman like him, and this encounter feels almost like a miracle.

Depending on the circumstances, he may make regular appearances on this channel. Additionally, I may consider starting a membership program in the future. My ultimate goal is for this channel to become the main platform for sharing Japanese sword culture in English!

The video tracing the journey of Yamada Asaemon, who excelled as an executioner and a master of sword testing using human bodies, has finally been released! I'm delighted to see that it has already been viewed by many people!

In the video, I explore his various roles, from his work as an executioner to his recognition as a leading sword appraiser, and how he amassed tremendous wealth using the bodies of criminals. I delve into his history by visiting various historical sites.

If you haven't seen it yet, be sure to check it out!

Hello everyone! I'm currently working on a video about Yamada Asaemon, known in the 17th and 18th centuries in Japan as an executioner and expert in test cutting using human bodies. In the video, I will be taking you on a tour of significant sites related to Yamada Asaemon, including Japan's largest execution ground. This will be a longer video, so please stay tuned for its release!

Hello everyone!
Out of the various Katana that appear in movies, which one is your favorite? For example, Hattori Hanzo’s sword.

Also, what’s your favorite scene featuring a Katana fight between samurai in a Hollywood movie?
