Andrea Bejar's effortless vocals and ethereal presence might suggest a magical origin, but her true inspiration comes from her family home in Mexico. Growing up bilingual, she blends English and Spanish lyrics, creating a unique sound that spans Fleetwood Mac-inspired rock and classic Spanish-style ballads and heartfelt soulful lyrics about being a first generation American. This fusion of genres shapes her musical identity, merging modern indie-folk music with a tribute to her roots.
“Mi Niña” is the first single from her upcoming EP, sets the scene with a heartfelt song from her mothers perspective about having children for the first time and all the feelings that come with it. Andrea challenges herself with her new project by delving into themes of family relationships and dynamics, exploring the joys, challenges, and bittersweet moments of growing up.
