Should schools encourage MEMORIZING mental math facts, such as learning multiplication tables to 10x10, basic area formulas, and converting fractions to decimals?

People often ask me how to draw and animate mathematical diagrams. I wanted to share a nice tool called GXWeb, which is a free web tool for building algebra, calculus, and geometry models. I have been playing around with it and it is very nice. Here is the link which has the free web tool GXWeb and a paid desktop software Geometry Expressions:

Behind the scenes: YouTube provides feedback to how videos perform. My last 3 videos look like this. Obviously my videos need to be more attention-getting. Expect some "Harvard Entrance Exam" or "Only for genius" videos in the near future!πππ

LOL. Only for genius 3Γ3 - 3Γ·3 + 3 was the 2nd MOST VIEWED content on Facebook in Q4 of 2024 with 51 M. Not just most viewed of edu content...but ALL of content including sports, celebrities, politics, etc. People really do love arguing about math π

I need your help to check my math for an upcoming video! I have a graph of a torus with varying parameters. I need to check they are accurate for R = 0, R = 1.33, R = 2, and the whole graph is working for values in between. I found formulas online but I want to double check the implementation, as it is a piecewise defined function. I will thank everyone that helps with an on-screen mention of this post and comments. Thanks in advance, and here is a link to the graph: www.desmos.com/3d/hhxlimkmsy

Interesting: graduate students in math rarely end up teaching and pursue higher paying tech or finance jobs.
