Hey so lets have an update about whats going on with the channel for the next bit!
1) A NEW Choose A Main is coming! The first ever sequel! Since SF6 is such a landmark title, Season 3 happened, its out on switch 2 now, and well lots has happened since launch I am gonna update that vid, first time I have ever done it. Expect that to be live hopefully in the next few days. I sorta wanna do it in the context of both for a newer player, but also an update of things that have changed with the character since launch for the better(or worse), and hopefully some new editing tricks that I hope work(they work in my head anyways).
2) Naturally all sorts of news, looks like we will get our first look at Sagat next week from an upcoming Capcom Stream(assuming world tour sneak peak), Andy comes out on the 24th for Fatal Fury and ill have an impressions video of him once hes playable and I can lab him. As we start entering Evo season im sure a bunch of other things will start dropping as well so that will be interesting to see.
3) I think I bit off more than I can chew with talking about those mario kart guides lol. I have barely gotten time to play it yet with so many other things going on(fighting games come first here). Might still happen but down the road, probably in the form of one mega catch-all guide. Probably for the best considering they behind the scenes changed so many rules internally like coins now scale based on characters/karts which is crazy.
4) I will be attending Evo btw! So if you see me don't be afraid to flag me down and say hi.

The next episode of Gon with the Wind, the podcast where myself and @baberuthless go over the 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime is now live! We cover episodes 19-26 and talk about Gon's refusal to lose, Killua lucky to have murder-apologists for friends, and more!
So far liking Gon a lot more since my initial impressions of him now that he's starting to show some character. Although just like last time with Leorio letting me down a bit, Killua stocks have now fallen too. Kurapika please don't let me down in the future!

The next episode of Gon with the Wind is now live! Myself and @baberuthless keep going over our journey of the Hunter x Hunter 2011 anime this time covering episodes 8-18 of the show. Also as you can see in the image below we have the podcast now up on Spotify too as per request if you wanna just listen to the show rather than watch it on youtube.
Starting to like Gon a lot more in these batch of episodes. Although that said given what happens in them... starting to like Leorio a lot less lol

If you missed it to this point, myself and @baberuthless being hype for the upcoming HxH Nen Impact fighting game will be covering the entirety of the 2011 HxH anime. She's a longtime fan, im brand new to the franchise, and we will go through it all with some of my assuredly spicy takes cause uh, I don't think the way everyone else does on a lot of things lol.
So spread the word I guess, it'd be appreciated! Episodes will be weekly~ and ill try to post here and on socials when a new one goes up. This covers episodes 1-7 and we will probably cover 5-10 episodes per podcast. Audio-only version coming soonish, just got so many things im doing right now didn't have time to get that ready as well yet. Enjoy!

How about a happy turn of events? So turns out the Hunter x Hunter Nen Impact Demo is coming, and its coming TOMORROW! PC only for now, console coming later. 6 characters and yes there will be training mode too! This is far as I can tell framed as a true demo, not a beta, and there is no mention of online play so I guess can't win em all but if you had a hankering for the game nows the time I guess
Now heres the fun part, the Hunter x Hunter Podcast I announced previously "Gon with the Wind" will hae its first episode also going live tomorrow in this happy coincidence! Remember that the podcast will find its home on the clips channel @RooflemongerClips I was just gonna make a post about it tomorrow but why not get 2 birds with one stone here? I suppose I will also post some impressions on the demo once I get to dump some time into it as I only got to play Nen Impact for like 20 mins at last years Evo, and apparently things are pretty different now.
Anyways quick little update, didn't necessarily warrant a full video but wanted to keep yall in the loop so enjoy!

So I threatened it and now its a reality, the Hunter x Hunter Podcast is officially a GO! Introducing Gon with the Wind, a podcast with myself and HxH expert @baberuthless and we will be going over the entirety of the 2011 anime start to finish, with roughly an episode a week with the first ep debuting later by the end of the month(ill post again when its live dont worry).

I will try to get an audio-only version as well up.
Plan is we will cover about 6-10 episodes of the anime per episode, and just kinda go til its done. So by the time Nen Impact launches we will be a good way through the show and I hope ill understand the main roster by then to help inform my picks. Will make another hxh post when the first ep is live other than that hope you enjoy it and watch out for my opinions cause uh, I got some when it comes to anime lol.

An update why not!
- Hope you all had fun with the Virtua Fighter stuff I def had a lot of fun covering it. Sometime this week ill do a VF roster wishlist/breakdown vid as I kinda theorycraft my way around what could be possible given what we know. Also I might be on camera for that one since lots of people liked me being on camera for the tier list vid and maybe ill do it more in the style of how everyone else does it(not permanent though, just an experiment).
- New Capcom Collection launches on the 16th with Capcom vs SNK 2 being the big one for me, I will be making a CvS2 beginner guide going over all the aspects/rules/grooves/etc of the game to help newcomers into one of the greatest games of all time. IDEALLY this will be ready the day of launch of the collection but it might slip a day depending on just how things turn out cause big guides always take longer than I think. Choose a Main would be nice but given the giant roster and how lopsided discussion would be (some chars would need 5+ mins, others barely rate 30 seconds of talk) I dunno about that one.
- Got a bunch of half done vids been working on off and on for a good while, hopefully by the end of the month at least a few of them will be ready. A few are more kinda generalized "conceptual" fighting game vids, especially sorta aimed at beginners what with SF6 on switch 2 gonna bring in a new fighting game audience and all, and some are just thinly veiled masks for me to complain about stuff I hate, should be fun!?
- Come SF6 season 3 launch naturally ill have what is probably gonna be a friggin 3 hour video going over all the patch changes, and its gonna be my excuse to finally re-do a bunch of older guides and pump out some new character guides cause whatever S3 is, itll be locked in stone for a hot minute.
Anyways thats everything off the top of my head! Next time I head out anywhere at this rate looks like will be Evo since there's no reason to go to Summer Game Fest for me this year and Combo Breaker plans sorta fell through, so ill see yall there!? (maybe goml)

So I guess a bit of an update and also looking for some input from yall on something a bit different.
Channel Update/Fighting Game stuff:
-Will have 1 more CotW guide tomorrow for B Jenet, and after that prob no more until the Andy DLC drops cause there's a bunch of vids I have an idea for I have half finished but when im making big mega guides everything else I do grinds to a halt.
-Evo Japan right around the corner, assuredly to be some amount of news out of that so don't go ruining your sleep schedule over it, cause ill be ruining mine so you don't have to. Whatever is there thats worth talking about will be covered.
Mario Kart!?:
So for those that don't know im a huge mario kart fan, like the too-much into it and like get extra competitive about it kind. Mario Kart is coming out soon (and frustratingly, same day as SF6 Elena/Season 3) and I was thinking about maybe making some guides for it in the usual style that I do. Most people like Mario Kart and the new game has lots and lots of new features/gameplay/rules to go over so would that be something you are interested in? To be assured covering SF6 Season 3 will be the priority since its the same day so any patch breakdown vid wont be slowed down by it, but its something I am thinking about.
Like that invite-by-sega Yakuza Pirates preview vid is the only non fighting game related vid ive made in like 7 years and I do love tons of other games just talking about them doesn't really fit the channels identity. Like I just finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and its def my GOTY for sure fantastic game, but nothing to talk about vid wise right cause its not what I do. Mario Kart I feel I can do something in my "style" at least education/guide wise but I don't know if I should even bother so thats why im asking for yall's input.
OTHER THAN THAT:
Will not be attending Summer Game Fest this year because there's basically nothing on site for a fighting-games-first kind of person like me this year, and the fact its the same time as SF6 S3 dropping means I dont wanna make all those vids from a hotel room. I will still be at Evo Vegas this year though if anyone wants to say their hellos! Anyways let me know what you think

Alright its May so sometime this month will begin the Hunter x Hunter journey! In the leadup to the launch of Nen Impact (and probably a bit after given the time) I will watch the entire HxH animated series(2011) to see what all the fuss is about! With that comes the fact I will be doing a podcast format show with a certified HxH superfan/expert to bounce off of and give my thoughts and opinions as a certified anime expert (all anime after 2004~ is trash, 90s anime is better)
Where to watch/listen? Well it wouldn't fit this channel specifically but I think its a good fit for the sometimes-used clips channel www.youtube.com/channel/UCuXN... so I think that will be the home for that, probably an episode a week~ until we get through the entire show. So make sure to sub to the clips channel and watch out for that!
First episode will probably be in the 2nd half of the month and ill post again to let yall get a heads up when its ready to go. Everyone hypes up Hunter x Hunter to me so lets see if it can live up to expectations!

Alright we had a whole bunch on the channel recently and hope you enjoyed all the content, here's whats coming up for the immediate future-ish.
FATAL FURY:
- Tizoc Big Guide either Sunday or Monday. I got LOTS of good stuff, like im even amazed how much im finding out, lots of dirty big boy grappler tricks for yall.
- Gato Big Guide since he won the poll will be shortly thereafter but no exact timeframe just yet. There may be 1-2 more character guides as well but honestly not sure yet taking it day by day.
STREET FIGHTER:
- As far as SF6 goes naturally come Elena Launch/Season 3 I will be covering that like crazy as well. Once we get done after the initial S3 hump too I plan on re-doing a bunch of older character guides and finally finishing some of the ones I never got around to making (zangief guide finally? maybe, depends if theres alex dlc or not lol)
- I have gone to Summer Game Fest for the last 2 years in a row, but considering SGF is literally the day after elena/s3 launch, I probably won't be going to summer game fest this year unless something major brings me there. So much work to be done and its always a lot harder to do my job on the road. Not impossible so basically if I do wind up going, expect something really, really cool that would drag me out there.
OTHER:
- Hopefully between now and the SF6 deluge I can finish up a bunch of half finished vids that I think are quite fun that just sorta fell by the wayside. May 16th is the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 release date so for that I would like to get together a CvS2 beginner guide if at all possible. Choose a main too maybe but so many chars ill see if i can fit a random 4 hour vid into the schedule lol.
Thats about it off the top of my head, im sure im forgetting something but thats what happens when you are old. Fighting games are pretty dang cool and you should play them! Have a good one
